Tuesday, October 14 – Eve Festival

• Outdoor Tea Ceremony (at Saka Kaikan Hall)
  10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  Enjoy a bowl of matcha green tea with a traditional Japanese sweet. Participation fee: 500 yen.

• Food Stalls
  Around 10:00AM – 8:00 PM

• Dedication Belly Dance Performance
  From 6:00 PM

• Taiko Drum Performances
  From 6:00 PM
  Performed by the local parishioners’ drum team and a professional taiko group.
  ★After the performance, there will be a hands-on taiko drumming experience! Everyone is welcome to join and try the big festival Taiko drums.

Wednesday, October 15 – Main Festival

• Annual Grand Festival (Shinto Ritual) with Hot Water Ceremony
  From 10:00 AM​

• Food Stalls
  Around 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM

• Children’s Bingo Game
  From 6:00 PM

• Evening Kagura Dance (Yoshida-style, Kasai troupe)
  From 7:00 PM
  Sacred kagura dance is offered before the deities to pray for the peace and safety of the community. This is a rare chance to witness a traditional performance that has been handed down in this region since ancient times.
